Locust Presbyterian Church The Congregation of Locust Presbyterian Church invites you to come and enjoy a special evening of bluegrass gospel music featuring The Hatley Family of Stanly County and The Hinson Girls of Lancaster, South Carolina. The concert will be Sunday beginning with the Hinson Girls at 5 p.m. Katelyn, Melissa, Allison and Kristin will share the good news through beautiful bluegrass music. The Hinson Girls have been performing since 2009. Their love for music has brought them closer together and opened many opportunities. In March 2012 they won first place at the South Carolina Bluegrass Band Championship at the Renofest Bluegrass Festival and have been featured on WBTV’s “Carolina Camera.” In 2015 they were fourth place band at the SPBGMA International Band competition. Next you can enjoy our local favorite group, the Hatley Family of Stanfield, that consists of four siblings and their father Ervin Hatley. This group is well known for great harmony and incredible instrumentation. Most of the band members play more than one instrument. They formed the band in 1982 and always perform bluegrass gospel and traditional bluegrass. This is a free concert. All are invited to stay for finger foods in the fellowship hall following the concert. Come on out and enjoy a wonderful evening of music and fellowship. The church is at 607 W. Main St., Locust.
