Widespread power outage in east side of Albemarle

There is a widespread power outage throughout the east side of Albemarle, according to a Facebook post from the city.

The outage is due to Duke Energy hitting one of the circuits at the city’s substation.

The city says that Duke is currently on site making repairs and that power will be restored as soon as possible, likely within the next 30 minutes.
