Friends will host 19th annual golf tournament

The Friends of the Senior Center will host its 19th annual golf championship April 27 at Piney Point Golf Club in Norwood.

This tournament helps support home delivered meals, in-home services and other programs for seniors.

The championship will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Lunch will be served after completion of play.

Play format is four-player Captain’s Choice. The event is open to men and women of all ages and experience.

Entry fee is $70 per player.

Cash prizes will be given to first-, second- and third-place teams, along with closest to the hole and long drive for men and women. There will be a hole in one contest for $6,500 and a putting contest for $150.
